André Bauer, former Lieutenant Governor and legislator from South Carolina, serves as senior advisor for Broadstreet, Inc. In his role, Bauer uses his multifaceted background to enhance Broadstreet’s presence in the Carolinas, with a particular focus on the development planning, and expansion of large-scale real estate projects.

As the youngest independently elected statewide Lieutenant Governor in the nation, Bauer served in this capacity from 2003 to 2011, overseeing the S.C. Senate and adeptly navigating through decisions on over $2 billion in tax increases. Before his tenure as Lieutenant Governor, Bauer was a State Senator for District 18 from 1999 to 2003 and a State Representative for District 87 from 1996 to 1999. Throughout his political career, he played a pivotal role in promoting business and trade in South Carolina, engaging with leaders from more than 30 countries.

Bauer’s commitment to public service extended beyond his legislative roles as he served as a CNN political correspondent, offering insightful commentary on both national and state politics. His diverse experiences have equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of governance, policy, and the intricacies of economic development.

In addition to his political career, Bauer has been working in the real estate landscape since 1989. He founded Bunk Aviation, LLC, a company dedicated to restoring historic Charleston homes while preserving their original integrity.
